Finding writing support on Twitter

For those of you who are Twitter junkies, and for those writers who think social networking distracts from your work, take note: you can learn and get your creative groove on at Twitter.

I've been checking out the #amwriting hashtag lately. And I'm inspired. Writers talk about what they're working on and they encourage one another to set and reach goals. Twitterers from around the world discuss their work. You see people struggling to fine-tune an idea, phrase, or word. But you also see success stories. Just this morning, people were talking about the revision process, research, and inspiration.

Check it out.

I recently signed up for Twitter because so many people were suggesting I do. I haven't had a lot of time to work on that, so I really haven't exactly figured it out yet.

There's a lot to learn when you first start out on the site, but do what I did 15 months ago, and jump in!! Cheryl Phillips, aka The Daily Blonde, writes alot of social netowrking articles for Examiner.com. On Twitter, she's @thedailyblonde. And feel free to follow me @luannschindler

See you in Twitterverse!

I created a twitter account specifically to meet writers. I'm not sure why I went about it that way, but I'm sure glad I did. I met a wonderful fellow writer from CA. We critique each others all the time now. She edited my short that just won Honorable Mention in the Spring 09 Contest. I'm very lucky to have her :)

I want to get my blog address on Twitter. It's about the Poetry Society of Tennessee. We have a membership drive on, and I'm trying to reach a large audience.

Thanks. F. Bruce
