Today is the first day of October, a great time for writing. I have to agree with Writer's Digest blogger Kevin Alexander, who says, "The fall is my prime writing time, friends." He goes on to joke that during this time of year, his productivity goes up (unscientifically) around 67%.
Summer, with its distractions (read: kids), is a tough time for heavy production. The demands of the winter holiday season also tug us away from our writing time. Right now is a great time for writing. October in particular is a nice long month to pursue writing goals.
What is your favorite writing season? Is there a time of year when you're most creative or hard working?

I agree, it's the fall. Something about routine settling in after summer, new beginnings, the cooler air invigorating. Esp on those cold, rainy days, very nice for writing ...
Yup, it is fall! For me, it is natal. I was born a few days before the autumn equinox. I naturally go into rebirth mode. The older I get, the more aware I am of the transition.
I have always found that fall gives me more inspiration. The scenery is beyond beautiful and the cool breeze when sitting out in the swing with a cup of coffee, a pen and a notepad gets my memories flowing of when I was a child at my grandparents in the country. Watching the leaves turn and playing in the ones that were already on the ground...great memories. Fall is a magical season. It puts nature to bed in anticipation for the spring when life begins a new.
