Happy holidays to one and all on this Christmas Eve. If you were just celebrating Hanukkah, I hope you had a wonderful time! I'm a Christmas celebrator and a writer, so I thought I'd have a little fun today...

On the 2nd day of Christmas, my true love gave to me 2 sharpened pencils, and a brand new MacBook Pro.
(I know what you're thinking: Is she really going to go through all the days? I have presents to wrap. I have cards to write still. I have cookies to bake for Santa.)
OKAY! OKAY! Skipping ahead for you last-minute Christmas to-do list people...
On the 12th day of Christmas, my true love gave to me 12 reviewers reviewing
11 readers raving

7 bestsellers a selling
6 librarians recommending
5 Star Reviews
4 adoring fans
3 days of quiet

And a brand new MacBook Pro.
Happy New Year, everyone. I'll be back soon with my usual word of the year post and a lesson I've been learning from my You Are a Badass book by Jen Sincero!

Margo, what wonderful gifts to have as a writer and what a wonderfully creative post. Happy Holidays to you and your family.
Happy holidays to you, too! :)
Margo--I hope you really did get new Macbook Pro. That sounds like a great gift for busy publisher. ;)
May the three of you have a wonderful day today. A puppy AND a kiddo to celebrate with? Life can't get much better.
Happy holidays, Margo! What a creative post. :) I have two MacBook Pros, an iMac, and an iphone. In June '20 I heard the news that Apple was planning to ditch Intel processors and go back to its own technology, using something similar to the iphone's core...I think it'll be called Apple Silicon. That will make the Intel versions obsolete, but they will support it for a few years. Macs last forever, so even now I'm experiencing a problem with the iMac I bought in 2011. It works like a champ, but they aren't updating the operating system any longer. Not a huge deal. Did you get a MacBook, and does it have the Apple Silicon core? Just wondering. I think they said it would be released by the end of the year and the transition would take two years. I hope you enjoy it! I love all my Macs. Of course, I have to own Macs with my last name. ;)
I did not get one yet...so are you saying that I should wait, Ang?
Thanks, Sioux. It was a magical day as always...
Hi Margo, I checked Apple, and it looks like they JUST released the M1 chip, the Apple Silicon. That's the new technology. Super exciting! Their most powerful processor yet. So you should be good, but definitely read reviews first because when tech is released it usually has some bugs to work out. Also read those reviews with an eye on what you are trying to achieve because frequently reviews talk about gaming etc when you might want it for publishing software or Adobe apps.
Good advice! Thank you!
