Hatchet Women by Nick Sconce

I was recently approached to provide a back cover blurb for an upcoming novel by author and friend Hatchet Women - see for yourself:
Nick Sconce. I was intrigued when he provided me with the summary for

Edie Firebaugh and her team of young, career-oriented women, are coerced to dye their hair to blend into their insurance company’s event planning department, concealing their real work in special investigations, fraud prevention, and agent termination. As they ascend and infiltrate the company’s hierarchy, they uncover a layered scheme in the private placement annuity unit, which limits pay-outs to customers through mass murders designed to appear as tragic accidents. The unit also happens to be their company’s most profitable.

About the Author: Born and raised in a small town in Oklahoma, Nick Sconce now resides outside of Oklahoma City with his wife and two children.

His interests include photography, recording music, cooking, gardening and studying the financial services industry.

Pewter, Murder, and Loaded Dice and Structured Chaos are novels in a series involving Devin Predire and Alex Vinkler. His third novel, Hatchet Women, is set for release within the next few weeks.

And here you have it - my thoughts: After reading Hatchet Women, I can definitely say Nick Sconce is a talented author with a gift for storytelling. He lays out the details beautifully and draws readers in. I love a good mystery and this one will have you at the edge of your seat as the tale unfolds. The details are written exquisitely and you can tell Sconce has done his homework dotting his i's and crossing every t. You'll want to put this book on your TBR list and once you pick it up you won't be able to put it down.
