---- Interview by Nicole Pyles

WOW: I am so excited to have you back to talk about Journaling Power. Tell me a little bit about this book and why it's so poignant for right now.

Mari: Journaling Power is a self-help memoir. It shares the experiences I’ve had so far with this marvelous mindset medicine and provides prompts and exercises for people so they can start their very own life-changing Journaling For The Health Of It® Practice. The Pandemic, like with me and my MS diagnosis, offers us the opportunity to come home to ourselves and create the happy, healthy life that we want to live. Journaling is our inner world/universe of infinite possibilities 24/7/365 Tour Guide that shows us how to live our life our way!

WOW: You are so right, the pandemic definitely called us to take a journey inwards. How did journaling change your life?

Mari: Oh, in so many ways! Here is my Journaling For The Health Of It® video which talks about my top 3 benefits:

WOW: That is so amazing! What is the difference between life for you when you first wrote this book and how it looks now?

Mari: I am excited to report that I now live the life of the True Mari L. McCarthy. When I wrote Journaling Power I was in the early stages of healing the issues in my tissues. Now that I am embodied in my True Self, I acknowledge that Self-Love is where the action is. My Journaling takes me on a daily treasure hunt! Health-wise, I’ve been off BigPharma drugs for 17 years, OTC drugs for 12, on a Paleo diet for 2, sleep straight through every night 7-8 hours (Yay! No bathroom breaks needed!) And talk about creativity!

WOW: I can't even begin to tell you how inspiring that is. What advice do you have for people who have never journaled before?

Mari: Visit CreateWriteNow.com to discover what Journaling For The Health Of It@ has for them wherever they are on their life journey. We have a Life Matters Blog, Mari’s Journaling Power Blog, a Journaling Power Prompts Blog with about 385+ eclectic Journaling Prompts and a Store that has 20+ Inner Journey Workbooks including the newest Start Journaling For The Health Of It® Write Now which is a good starting point. My suggestion is to then get a notebook and a pen and put a question at the top of the page and then write, write, and write until you feel (my favorite 4 letter “F” word) like stopping. It’s also very important for everyone to know that there is only one right way to Journal: Your Way!

WOW: That's the best way of all! What are you working on now?

Mari: I’m writing the 3rd book in the Journaling Power Trilogy, Mindset Medicine: A Self-Love Journaling Power Book and creating a Mindset Medicine Journaling Power Prompts Card Deck. They’ll be published December 7, my 70th birthday week. I’m also celebrating 23 years as a Journaling Power Journaler and anyone who’d like to celebrate with me can come to my CreateWriteNow.com Store and get 23% off everything when they enter Mari23 at checkout. My YouTube Channel https://www.youtube.com/c/CreateWriteNow is up and running and subscribers get a weekly lesson from our best-selling 27 Weeks to Health and Happiness Course Attachments area Preview YouTube video Hi, I'm Mari. Welcome to Create Write Now.

WOW: You are a true inspiration! I love how much you have going on. I can't wait to see what's next for you. Thank you so much!

  2. Mari, I LOVE the new colors of your book cover. It's fresh, soft, and gorgeous! Plus, it sparkles with all those awards. :) My journaling helps my creative writing and memoir writing so much. It's an integral part of my writing process. Thank you for the suggestion--I subscribed to your Youtube channel. I'm excited about the third book in your trilogy, and had no idea you were creating a journaling prompt card deck! That is such a smart idea, and it'll make a great gift. Best of luck on your tour! It looks like a great one. :)

  5. I have been journaling off and on for years. It is fun to go back and read them once in awhile.

  6. I have never tried journaling but am going to start I hear it is good for self help .;

  7. I like to combine my journaling and planning in one place, usually a traveler's notebook, because journaling is my way of talking myself through my plans. It's how I brainstorm ideas and do brain dumps. It's how I break down my projects into steps. My journal is also my commonplace book, where I write down notes from videos I've watched and books or articles I've read. In short, journaling is a huge part of my life!
