  1. Well, there has to be some sort of initial attraction, but I think people who ultimately stay together for the long haul grow to love each other!

  4. I think as long as there is an attraction and a connection the love will come if it's meant to be. I do believe in love at first sight to some extent but that is only a smart part. I have loved only to find a deeper connection after growing to know that person.

  5. Thank you for the opportunity! :)

  8. I think that it's more common for them to grow in love, but I do believe in falling in love too.

  11. I think it can go either way. Sometimes you do fall in love, other times, it just builds out of friendship. Either way, it's meant to be.

I think people fall in love gradually, over time. It's like wrapping yourself in a blanket when you're cold, you don't get warm instantly, it takes a while. Same with love, slow and easy. Thanks.

I think people fall in "lust" in the beginning and grow to truly love one another after going through lots of ups and downs.

  37. I'm posting this comment for Mohana...

"The majority of you seem to agree that the initial attraction has to be met by a willingness to grow in the relationship together.
That's certainly been my experience. And we could talk for hours about the reverse: when you fall out of love, is that a choice?

See what you think about Abdulla and Sangita's relationship. And if you can detect why this might be the beginning of a series."

  40. It depends on the situation. I think people can grow to love one another, over time, if they are pushed together. On the other hand, I knew that I wanted to marry my husband two days after I met him. He asked me two months later. We've been married 20 years. That's bungee jumping into love! - Auriette

I think your first fall in love, and then continue to feed and grow it as the relationship continues.

  44. I think both are possible. Sometimes you have an instant (or almost instant) attraction that feels like it bubbles up from the soul, but other times it grows. And you over time develop friendship and respect and love. But only if it is reciprocal.

  45. I think both. I fell in love with my husband and I truly love him more and more each day.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Aren't both possible? I "fell" in love with my husband over 10 years ago and since we've been together I've seen quirks shine through that might have irked me or bothered me and some that have truly warmed my heart and that I have grown to love, which make me love him more. I think love is crazy like that - it can be both, at least in my opinion.

  49. I guess yes, both are possible Starla, and everyone, but perhaps not at the same time. Like I say at weddings, that's the day you love each other the least (or you hope) because feeling grow...

From my experience we grow in to love, for some it is instant but I think for most it flourishs over time.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Anonymous7:41 PM

I think people fall in love and then their love grows deeper when both people in the relationship seek to cultivate that love.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I think it's definitely a combination of both... I've never seen love at first sight, but I've never seen two people who hated each other end up together either.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I think people grow in love. We can fall into attraction, but love is something that grows over time. My humble opinion. :-)

  58. Shayna7:24 PM

A little of both. You don't just become "in love," it comes with time and getting to know them, but the process has to start somewhere!

I think that regardless of the way in which two people come together, love is something which can grow if it is encouraged to do so. Too many people in the West confuse love with lust and when the initial 'rush' dissipates they don't want to work at and nurture love.
